I'm Building TimeHackedLife While My Life Is Falling Apart

Hey, I’m Cal. Welcome to the chaos.

I’m starting this blog during one of the most overwhelming times in my life:

  • I’ve got my first baby on the way
  • My job in medtech sales might not exist in a few months
  • I don’t really have a backup plan
  • And I’m somehow more motivated than ever to figure this all out

This blog is the result of a breakdown.

Not the dramatic, cry-on-the-floor kind (though that may still happen)—more the slow, creeping realization that I’ve been spending all my time working for someone else and not really building anything for me.

So here I am. Launching a blog called TimeHackedLife while duct-taping my real life together behind the scenes.

Why This Blog Exists

I’m not a guru. I’m not an expert. I’m just a normal guy trying to:

  • Build income that doesn't depend on a 9-to-5
  • Learn how to use AI and automation to save time
  • Spend more of that time with my family (and under cars or fixing stuff around the house)
  • Share what works—and what blows up in my face

If I can test things, break them, and report back so you can skip the pain, I consider that a win.

What You Can Expect Here

This is not one of those shiny blogs where someone pretends they “made $40k their first month doing nothing.”

I’m literally figuring this out in real time—between appointments at the hospitals (for work and my wife), weekends, and late nights.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Real experiments (AI tools, automations, side hustles, etc.)
  • Weekly breakdowns of what worked and what didn’t
  • Simple strategies to save time and reduce stress
  • Real stories from my life at work, time with my wife and prepping for the baby, car projects, or home fixes—because this is life, not a productivity cult

I’ll keep it honest. If something sucks, I’ll say so. If something rules, I’ll tell you why and how I used it.

Why Now?

Because if I don’t start building something for myself now, I never will.

Because my job’s stability is… a myth.

Because I want to be a present husband and dad, not just a tired provider.

Because I want to work smarter, not just harder.

And because the idea of owning my time sounds really freaking good right now.

Let’s See What Happens

I don’t know where this will go.

I don’t know if it’ll turn into income, or just help me feel more sane.

But I do know that I’m tired of sitting on ideas, and this one’s finally getting built.

So, welcome to TimeHackedLife.

If you’re:

  • Figuring things out on the fly
  • Tired of time slipping through your fingers
  • Curious about building income streams, systems, or sanity
  • Or just need proof that someone else is trying and failing and trying again

You’re in good company.

Subscribe if you want to follow along.

Every week(ish), I’ll share what I’m trying, what’s working, and what’s totally falling apart.

Let’s build something better—one hack at a time.
